Johnny Rochester has just moved into town but soon discovers that life in a new city can be miserable. As Karma would have it, he becomes the new drummer for the Red Calaveras, a local punk band. Soon he learns that dealing with his band mates, the mysterious Randy Best, the tough Ramon Calavera and the grammatically challenged Ry Calavera, might be a bit too much for him to handle. Especially when Roy becomes infatuated with the singer of another band.
